LIFE AT HOME

How are you adjusting to school life at home?

Evan: “It’s been boring for the most part. Lots of schoolwork, I’ve been playing video games with friends to help pass the time. It’s been boring.”

What have you been doing in your spare time to keep your mind occupied?

Evan: “I’ve been doing a lot of fishing. I’ve also been waiting for turkey season to open up. I have also been waiting to turn 18 so I can apply for a heavy equipment job.”

LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD

What are your future plans after high school?

Evan: “I will be entering the workforce in hopes of applying for a heavy equipment job somewhere.”

What coaches have influenced you the most throughout your high school career? Why?

Evan: “Coach (Lintz) Bliven and Tyler Landries. They both have taught me life lessons that don’t pertain to basketball. They have both taken the time out to make me into the better person that I am today. Coach (Jim) Schneider started with me in modified basketball, and he really taught me the basics of basketball, and in recent years at AAU. He has given me the confidence I have always needed to succeed. Thank you to all three coaches. I will miss you greatly.”

How much has it meant to you to represent your school’s colors in the sports arena?

Evan: “In all of the sports that I’ve played over the years at school, it truly has been an honor to put the jersey on and play for Genesee Valley. Our coaches and our spectators have been awesome every time we went out to play.”

What has been some of your favorite sports memories over the years in school?

Evan: “Playing basketball with Cody Schneider over the years. He’s my best friend, and over the years, we have put together some amazing achievements. I will always remember that. Getting to play sports with my older brother Noah was a lot of fun, and some AAU memories. Specifically, getting to play with Mason Putnam.”

What’s your farewell message to your underclassmen at your school?

Evan: “You have big shoes to fill. What you do off the court or field is what determines what will happen on it. There is nothing wrong with putting in the time to be who you want to be in a sport. It goes a long way.”
