LIFE AT HOME

How are you adjusting to school life at home?

Austin: “I am very disappointed that I was not able to play baseball this season, but it hasn’t been too bad of an adjustment for me since school closed. I have more free time than usual, and I am still able to interact with my friends through video games.”

What have you been doing in your spare time to keep your mind occupied?

Austin: “I’ve been playing video games with my friends, as well as going outside to practice soccer.”

LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD

What are your future plans after high school?

Austin: “I will be attending SUNY Geneseo in the fall. My major is currently undecided.”

What coaches have influenced you the most throughout your high school career? Why?

Austin: “I played three years of soccer for Coach (Matt) Buckley, and I cannot say enough about all he has done for me and my teammates. He made me truly love the game, and he has taught me so much in those years. I am very grateful for all the work he put in to make me and my teammates the best we could be. I was also fortunate to play baseball for Coach (Dennis) Miles, as well as be present for the start of a new era under Coach (Marc) Agnello. Those two men had so much to teach about baseball, and I’m glad I was able to learn from both of them.”

How much has it meant to you to represent your school’s colors in the sports arena?

Austin: “It’s been an honor to wear the black and orange, and represent Wellsville with my teammates over the years. The teammates that I have had when I first started, up to now became like family to me.”

What has been some of your favorite sports memories over the years in school?

Austin: “Every memory that isn’t of a loss.”

What’s your farewell message to your underclassmen at your school?

Austin: “Full sends only. No half sends.”
