LIFE AT HOME
How are you adjusting to school life at home?
Michaela: “It has not been something that has been easy to adjust to over time, but I’m starting to get ahold of my schoolwork.”
What have you been doing in your spare time to keep your mind occupied?
Michaela: “I recently painted my bedroom. I also go on walks with my dog and dyed my hair a different color. I also play a lot of video games to help pass the time.”
LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD
What are your future plans after high school?
Michaela: “I will be going to Jamestown Community College to complete their Occupational Therapist Assistant program.”
What coaches have influenced you the most throughout your high school career? Why?
Michaela: “Coach (Jake) Bannerman. During my time playing volleyball, he has always made playing volleyball a lot of fun, and he’s the coach that always finds a way to push me to do my absolute best.”
How much has it meant to you to represent your school’s colors in the sports arena?
Michaela: “It has meant a lot to me being able to represent my school while playing sports each season. I will miss it.”
What has been some of your favorite sports memories over the years in school?
Michaela: “The hundreds of inside jokes the volleyball team has, not being able to hit a golf ball, and complaining about swimming my whole life but secretly loving it.”
What’s your farewell message to your underclassmen at your school?
Michaela: “To all of the underclassmen at Genesee Valley, please never take what you have for granted and enjoy every last minute of high school that you get. Because you never know what could happen.”
