LIFE AT HOME

How are you adjusting to school life at home?

Kate: “After a month, I’ve finally gotten around into a routine that I like. I do some school work in the mornings and some at night so I’m not spending hours at one time sitting and doing it.”

What have you been doing in your spare time to keep your mind occupied?

Kate: “I love to workout and go on walks with my Mom. I also have been painting, reading, doing some Spring cleaning, going outside as often as I can, and Facetiming my friends.”

LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD

What are your future plans after high school?

Kate: “I will be attending Gordon College in Massachusetts to work toward majoring in Kinesiology while taking up college volleyball as well.”

What coaches have influenced you the most throughout your high school career? Why?

Kate: “So many people have influenced me, but I would have to say Coach (Sally) Kus. She’s been my volleyball coach ever since I was six years old. I wouldn’t be the player I am today without her guidance. Coach (Josh) Tompkins and Coach (Molly) McMahon have also played a really huge role in my development in volleyball and basketball, as well as off the court.”

How much has it meant to you to represent your school’s colors in the sports arena?

Kate: “It has meant so much to me. Not everyone gets this chance to play, and every time I step onto the court, I am reminded how blessed I am to have this wonderful opportunity to represent my school.”

What has been some of your favorite sports memories over the years in school?

Kate: “Team bonding, winning Sectionals for volleyball twice in my career, getting 1,000 career assists and 1,000 career points in basketball, and the boys basketball team decorating my car after becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer in girls basketball history.”

What’s your farewell message to your underclassmen at your school?

Kate: “Push yourself and work your hardest. You can achieve great things.”
