LIFE AT HOME

How are you adjusting to school life at home?

Nate: “It isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be at first, but it seems to be going well so far.”

What have you been doing in your spare time to keep your mind occupied?

Nate: “Along with keeping up with school, I have been working and watching old sports events on TV.”

LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD

What are your future plans after high school?

Nate: “I will attend Alfred State College to take up a major in Architecture.”

What coaches have influenced you the most throughout your high school career? Why?

Nate: “Mr. (Nick) Perillo. In soccer, he wasn’t just a coach but he seemed to be like one of the players as well. He developed such a great relationship and bond with me and all the other guys on the team.”

How much has it meant to you to represent your school’s colors in the sports arena?

Nate: “After playing sports for Cuba-Rushford since I was in seventh grade, it really means a lot to me to be able to put on a jersey and represent this great school that we have. Whether we win or we lose, I am always happy to be a Rebel. The people that have surrounded me since that first year has made this experience all that much better.”

What has been some of your favorite sports memories over the years in school?

Nate: “Winning against Genesee Valley in soccer with the golden goal during Junior year, that has been one of my favorites. Taking League MVP in bowling as a Junior during the winter, and being able to play on such amazing teams that bonded really well together will be something that I will always remember.”

What’s your farewell message to your underclassmen at your school?

Nate: “Don’t take advantage of your time left in high school. It may just be taken away from you.”
