LIFE AT HOME

How are you adjusting to school life at home?

Joey: “I am adjusting fairly well. It is weird being back at work, and even weirder doing school at home. I’m making the most of it by reading a lot, and exercising daily.”

What have you been doing in your spare time to keep your mind occupied?

Joey: “I have been reading plenty of books, doing my college courses, and I am currently working on all of my other classes. I also spend some time wondering how my life will all pan out after school.”

LOOKING BACK AND FORWARD

What are your future plans after high school?

Joey: “I will be joining the U.S. Navy in hopes to excel in the Nuclear Field.”

What coaches have influenced you the most throughout your high school career? Why?

Joey: “Coach (Dave) Volz has been a big influence throughout my career. He has been my coach since I started in seventh grade. In and outside of meets, he has supported me throughout all of my struggles.”

How much has it meant to you to represent your school’s colors in the sports arena?

Joey: “It has been a great honor to serve in my school’s colors as an athlete, as well as a student representing this school.”

What has been some of your favorite sports memories over the years in school?

Joey: “My favorite sports moment would have to be hitting a spike through a block into an opponents face. Of course, I felt quite terrible after it had happened.”

What’s your farewell message to your underclassmen at your school?

Joey: “Stay in school, and don’t do anything you will regret later on in life. Many people look back on their lives and think why they didn’t try harder in school, and that they could have done so much more in life. Do the best you possibly can. Your future self will thank you for it later on.”
